The Challenge

Dragonfly Farm was preparing to open a new farm shop in Speldhurst and needed signage that reflected the character and rural setting of the business, while still being clear and functional for customers.

As a new opening, the site required:

  • Clear external signage to attract and guide visitors
  • Strong branding that felt authentic and well-crafted
  • Practical signage for parking and customer flow
  • Legal manifestation compliance with various floor to ceiling glass partitions & bi-fold doors

The challenge was to create signage that felt considered and premium, without losing the natural, welcoming feel of a farm shop.

Our solution

The client already had strong design ideas in place, so rather than creating designs from scratch, we were tasked with developing these further and delivering a complete signage package to support the launch of the new farm shop.

The signage solution included:

  • Freestanding signs to clearly identify the site and entrance
  • Stencil-cut aluminium logo signs for unique, authentic branding
  • Glass manifestation graphics to brand glazing and remain compliant
  • Parking and directional signs to improve customer access and site flow

Each element was designed to work together visually, reinforcing the Dragonfly Farm brand across the site.

How did we deliver the project?

1.

Site Survey

Our site surveys are an important early part of the process. As well as gathering site details and dimensions, we use this stage to talk the client through ideas, discuss options, and show physical samples, colours and finishes. This helps shape the direction of the signage before designs are finalised.

2.

Site Survey

A detailed site survey was carried out to review fixing methods, wall finishes, access requirements, and negate any potential issues early on. This allowed us to position signage for maximum impact both internally and externally, while also ensuring the project runs smoothly at the installation phase.

3.

Manufacture

Once design and specifications were agreed, the signage was meticulously manufactured in our workshop. Passing several quality checks along the way to ensure we were following the specification closely.

4.

Installation

With various sign types came multiple installation methods, from digging and creating foundations for the freestanding signs, to vinyl application for the window manifestations. Installation was carried out by our team, in line with the farm shop opening date, ensuring everything was in place and ready for customers from day one.
