Project details

Location: Hamilton, Bermuda

Client: Design Agency
Sector: Hospitality / Hotel

Project type: External illuminated and non-illuminated signage

The Challenge

Rosedon Hotel in Bermuda was undergoing a brand refresh led by a design agency responsible for delivering the hotel’s new visual identity across physical spaces.

The agency needed a signage partner capable of:

  • Manufacturing high-quality, durable external signage suitable for a coastal environment
  • Producing both illuminated and non-illuminated signage to a premium hospitality standard
  • Working collaboratively with a design-led brief rather than a fixed technical specification
  • Securely packaging and shipping completed signage overseas to Bermuda

They had already approached a number of companies in both the UK and the US but encountered resistance, largely due to the complexities of overseas shipping, packaging, and coordination. The project required a supplier willing to engage early, advise on build methods, and confidently handle international delivery.

Our solution

We worked closely with the design agency from an early stage, helping translate the hotel’s brand concepts into signage solutions that were both visually accurate and technically robust.

The final signage package included:

  • Aluminium sign trays engineered for external use
  • Built-up aluminium letters with integrated LED halo illumination
  • Powder-coated aluminium lettering for non-illuminated elements
  • Selected sign trays wrapped in digitally printed graphics to achieve specific brand finishes

Materials, finishes, and construction methods were carefully chosen to balance aesthetics, durability, and long-term performance in Bermuda’s climate.

How did we deliver the project?

1.

Collaboration & design development

We worked closely with the client’s marketing team and designers, advising on scale, materials, illumination and fixing methods. This helped ensure the proposed designs could be manufactured and installed effectively without compromising the brand vision.

2.

Manufacture

After extensive colour testing to ensure the different finish type matched, i.e. printed vinyl, powder coating and wet spraying, each sign was manufactured and assembled in-house. Aluminium sign trays were fabricated and powder coated, which then housed either illuminated built up, or flat cut letters.  Where required, aluminium trays were wrapped with digitally printed vinyl to achieve specific colours and design details that could not be achieved through powder coating alone.

3.

Packaging & international shipping

Given the overseas destination, careful packaging was critical. All signage was securely protected, crated, and prepared specifically for international freight to minimise risk during transit. We coordinated delivery logistics to ensure the signage arrived safely in Bermuda, ready for installation on site.
